About Baby Fair Imports Inc
The category nobody photographs: outlet covers, cabinet latches and a thermometer that works at 3am.
Baby Fair Imports Inc works out of an office on West 37th Street in the Garment District. We stock the part of a nursery that never appears in a photograph — the plug covers, the cabinet latches, the door knob covers, the thermometer that has to give a reading without waking anyone.
It is an unglamorous range and it is deliberately so. The week a baby starts pulling itself upright, the useful purchase is not decorative. It is the two hours on a Saturday spent covering outlets at floor level and slowing down the cabinet that holds the cleaning products.
We state age ranges plainly and we do not make medical claims. A thermometer measures temperature; it does not diagnose, and any reading that worries you belongs with a paediatrician rather than with us. A latch slows a toddler down; it does not replace supervision. Where a manufacturer publishes a safety standard we quote it, and where none exists we do not imply one.
How we work
- What we stock: Baby proofing hardware, touchless and ear thermometers, bath and grooming supplies, gentle hair and skin care, and teething comfort.
- What we will not claim: No medical or developmental claims. Age guidance is repeated from the manufacturer rather than broadened.
- Hygiene returns: Unopened returns only, within 30 days. Return postage is yours for a change of mind; we cover it if the item is faulty or we sent the wrong one.
- Where we are: 48 W 37th St, 9th floor. Weekdays 09:00-17:00, by appointment.
